Role: Full time Legal Cashier, The Cashroom Ltd. Skelmersdale

The Role Our Legal Cashiers are the beating heart of the organisation, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of all our clients. With new clients secured every month, you’ll never have a quiet day as a legal cashier. For our Legal Cashier role, we will be looking for you to have the following:
  • A clear understanding of double-entry book-keeping and ledger based accounting
  • Experience working as a legal cashier or similar in a busy office environment
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Strong IT literacy (Excel, Outlook, etc…)
  • A desire to learn and work hard in a fast paced business
The following are also desirable:
  • Experience working with accounting software packages
  • Studying towards/looking to study towards ILFM qualifications
Successful candidates will undertake the following duties:
  • Posting Client & Office account transactions
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Bank payments (BACS & CHAPS) and transfers between accounts
  • Payment of professional disbursements in line with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SARs)
  • Develop knowledge of SARs
  • Assisting with month end processes and VAT returns
  • Liaising with fee earners & support staff

With new clients secured every month, you’ll never have a quiet day as a legal cashier. For this Graduate Legal Cashier role, we will be looking for you to have the following:
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Strong IT literacy (Excel, Outlook, etc…)
  • Studying towards/achieved a good degree in a relevant field (Accounting & Finance, Law, Mathematics, etc...)
  • A desire to learn quickly and work hard in a fast paced business

  • Strong numerical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong IT literacy (Excel, Outlook, etc…)
  • A desire to learn quickly and work hard in a fast paced business
  • Grade C/5 (or above) in GCSE Maths and English

Role: RPA Developer The Cashroom Ltd. Livingston

The Role We constantly strive to improve the quality of our service and one of the key ways we do this is through the automation of our business processes. To this end, The Cashroom has made significant investment in its strategic platform, The Portal, and in Robot Process Automation (RPA). We are currently looking to recruit 2 x RPA developers with experience of developing code. One will have experience of this type of role in a working environment and the other may be more junior, perhaps having completed a college / university course covering the required skills. Working alongside the business, you will review our business processes. You will help to prioritise the processes to be automated, design, implement and operate the solution. Skills The skills are similar for each of the roles, although it is recognised the knowledge and experience for the Junior role will not be as great as for the developer role. To carry out the roles, you will need the following skills:
  • Essential:
  • Previous programming experience/qualification (preferably one of: Java, PHP, JavaScript, Python, but any language considered)
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Experience of working in an IT environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to challenge ideas and build solutions
  • Desirable:
  • Previous RPA experience – robot development and operations
  • Knowledge of API driven integrations
  • Accountancy/Cashiering experience
  • Analytical skills (able to understand/evaluate processes)
  • Confident using Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.)
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment
